This week, elementary-aged kids talked about how the Church functions like a body. What does it mean to be a part of the body of Christ? (You can also read 1 Corinthians 12:12-31).
What gifts has God given you? How can you use them to serve him?
It’s the last week to talk about 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, which says, “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.” See if you can memorize it as a family. Make up some hand motions for all the words, sing it as a song or write it down and hang it up.
We are all different parts of the body, but God wants us all to be feet sometimes. Find out what that means by listening to this song:
Tell somebody else in your family one of the gifts God gave them. Let’s help each other follow Jesus exactly the way he made us.
