In the Bible, there are LOTS of stories about courage. Joseph showed courage when he forgave his brothers (Genesis 50:15-21), David showed courage when he faced Goliath (1 Samuel 17), and a guy named Joshua showed courage when he became a leader!
God told Joshua, “Be strong and courageous. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

- When was the last time you did something new, that you’d never done before? Joshua had never been in charge before. Being in charge was new to him. How do you think Joshua felt?
- Where in your life can YOU “be strong and courageous?”
- Sometimes we forget that God is always with us. How can we remind each other to trust God and be strong?
