Throughout the Bible (over hundreds and hundreds of years), God prepared the world for Jesus. Find out how and why by watching the video below, which is best enjoyed as a family.
(You can read more in Genesis 22:1-19, Exodus 12:1-30, Isaiah 53, and Luke 22.)
Here are some questions to get conversations going:
- So, how did God prepare us for Jesus?
- Why did God compare the Rescuer to sheep?
- How do you think Jesus’ rescue affects you?
- Which part of this big story is your favorite? Why?
When we realize God loved us enough to send his own son to rescue us, our response is to worship him! There are lots of ways to express our love to God. One way is singing and dancing. Here are a few songs to help you do that as a family.
For this one, grab an instrument and play along with the kids in the video (air guitars count!).
Jesus rescued us because he loves us. This song talks about how powerful his love is!
See if you can sing along and keep up with the dance moves.
End your time together by praying out loud together. Remember, prayer is just talking to God, so tell him whatever you think about what you heard today!
