The Sunday before Easter is called Palm Sunday. Ask your kids to tell you why. Then read about it in Matthew 2:1-11 or Luke 19:28-44.
2
Watch a video about Palm Sunday. How do you think Jesus felt that day?
3
What does it mean to praise Jesus? Why did the people in Jerusalem praise him?
4
Here’s a music video about Palm Sunday. After you listen together, ask this question: How can we praise Jesus? (See if you can think of some ideas that weren’t mentioned in the video or the Bible story!)

A guy named Zechariah wrote about Palm Sunday hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus was even born. Read what he said below. Then ask: Why do you think God told him about Jesus riding into town on a donkey? What do these verses show us about Jesus?
Zechariah 9:9 says this:
Rejoice, O people of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you.
He is righteous and victorious,
yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—
riding on a donkey’s colt.
