To start, read about when Jesus chose people to follow him in Matthew 4:18-22, Luke 5:27-32, and Luke 6:12-16 together. Who did Jesus choose to follow him? Why did he ask them to follow him?

Today, talk about what Jesus taught us about God’s Kingdom in Matthew 5:11-12; Matthew 5:40-45; and Matthew 20:26-27. How can we follow Jesus? How is God’s kingdom different than the world’s?

If Jesus was standing right in front of you, what would you to say to him? How could you say the same thing in a prayer?

When we love like Jesus, we’re following him. Remember our verse, I Corinthians 13:4. It says, “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud.” Choose one person to show love this week. Who will you love? What will you do?
