Jesus told a story to teach us that he wants us to love everyone. That means Jesus wants us to help others, even when we don’t feel like it. Ask your kid about it. And if you want, read the story together in Luke 10:25-37 in the Bible.
Kindergarten-5th Grade Scoop
Knowing Jesus means understanding that he’s God’s Son. Kindergarten-2nd graders heard about the time Jesus turned one lunch into thousands of lunches (John 6:1-14). Third-5th graders heard about several miracles Jesus did to show his power. If you want, read about some of them in Mark 4:35-41, Matthew 14:13-21 and Luke 5:17-26.
