The BRAVE Journey has begun for kids too! For the next five weeks, we’ll talk about brave men and women who followed God in the face of fear, and took real risks. They showed us how to be brave and trust God. This week, we’re talking about Joshua.
1
Before we get into the story, what does it mean to be brave? See if you can think of “everyday” ways to be brave, or ways each person in your family has been brave.
2
Read Joshua 3-4. What did God ask Joshua to do? How was it brave?
3
Watch a video of the story together. Why did God ask Joshua to step into the river before he made a dry path?
4
During the Journey, we’re learning Psalm 53:6, which says, “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” How did Joshua do this?
5
What’s one thing you are afraid of? How could you trust God instead? Pray and ask God to help you put your trust in Him.
