Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade heard about one of the times Jesus healed a man. Read about it in Luke 5:17-26. How did Jesus heal him?
Watch a video about the story of Jesus healing the guy who couldn’t walk (the same one you read about yesterday). As you watch, pretend you’re the guy who can’t walk. How would you feel when your friends helped you? When you were lowered through the roof? When Jesus forgave you? When Jesus healed you?
What is your favorite part of the story of the time Jesus healed a man? Why?
The one person who could help the guy who couldn’t walk was Jesus. And Jesus is the one who can help us too! He’s the one who can forgive us for all the wrong things we’ve done. Here’s a song about how we can put our hope in Jesus (if you want, talk about it means to hope in something!)
Write I Corinthians 13:4 on a piece of paper “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud.” Hang it somewhere your family will see it, so you are regularly reminded of how to love like Jesus.
